I am slowly starting to invite spring into my home, with some new plants, summer clothes and of course – nice cream! I made this one for breakfast, but the heavenly caramel taste makes it a perfect dessert.
I made mine with vanilla protein powder to make it more satisfying – this can be left out, but I advise that you add a little extra vanilla then. It was my first time using maca powder, and I must say, I am so surprised! It had a lovely almost nut like taste to it – which makes it so perfect for this recipe. I am aware that not everyone has this on hand, therefore it is only optional, and the recipe can easily be made without it. However, if you are looking into getting some for yourself, mine is from Yana CopenhagenΒ and it’s delicious!
– INGREDIENTS –
makes 2 large bowls
3 frozen bananas
6 cubes of frozen milk of your choice or coconut milk
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional!)
1 tbsp cacao powder
1 dash of cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla powder
3 dates
2 tsp maca powder (optional!)
– DIRECTIONS –
- Start off with blending the frozen milk cubes and the frozen bananas in a food processor or blender until it reaches a creamy texture.
- Add the rest of the ingredients, and top with your favourite toppings!
Love my bowls as much as I do? They’re made from coconut shells, and are from the cool Danish brand Yana Copenhagen.
The bowls are so pretty π
