Almonds always taste good, so imagine them covered in chocolate and cinnamon. Absolutely delicious! One thing I can say for sure is that these almonds won’t last until Christmas, they’ll be long gone by then!
They are super simple and easy to make. All you have to do is lightly toast the almonds in the oven, dip them in chocolate and then cover them in cinnamon and cacao powder.
– INGREDIENTS –
200g / 2 cups almonds
2 blocks dark chocolate
2 tbsp cinnamon powder
2 tbsp cacao powder
– DIRECTIONS –
- Heat the oven to 150 degrees celsius. Place the nuts on a baking tray in a single layer, and toast for 15 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate in a water bath, by filling a large skillet with simmering water. Place your chocolate (broken into smaller pieces) in a heatproof bowl, and now place the bowl in the water. When all the chocolate is melted, remove it from the water.
- Now place the nuts in the chocolate, a few at a time, and make sure they are covered completely in chocolate. Place the chocolate covered nuts on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Place in the fridge so the chocolate can set.
- Mix cinnamon and cacao in a small plastic bag. Now add the nuts to the bag, and shake until they are all fully covered with spices.
